He has been an Amnesty International activist since 1994 when he joined the local group in Villeurbanne. He then became an activist in the Paris region within the Melun group.

At the same time, he co-lead the Uprooted People Commission at the national secretariat.

In 2018 he was elected to the Board of Directors of Amnesty International France, then Vice President in 2020 and finally President in 2022.

Since 2020, he has represented Amnesty International in the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights (CNCDH).
