Nicole Ameline is a French politician, former minister. Activist of the cause of the women, she is member of the party The Republicans. An activist against violence against women, she was elected on July 30, 2008 with 138 votes out of 182 to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) at UN headquarters in New York.She took the presidency of CEDAW in February 2013. Since April 2011, she has been an honorary member of the think tank "Women in the service of man", an exclusively female Think Tank.
