For 75 years, UN peacekeepers have protected civilians and ceasefires and advanced peace processes. At best, peacekeeping operations are remarkable enterprises of multilateralism. But they are also an imperfect tool that can never meet all needs or expectations. To succeed in the face of growing challenges, a fragmented world, complex conflicts and rampant misinformation, peacekeeping must find new solutions to be more responsive, innovative and effective for the future.
