The European Union received the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize. Since then, it has maintained its role of peace stabilizer in the European continent but also worldwide. As the Normandy Index highlighted, peace around the world is not only the lack of war. Considering this fact, how can the European Union act for an egalitarian society that protects the fundamental rights of its citizens and ensure a trustworthy, sustainable and safe environment?
