Marc Semo. Having studied History at Paris X, and then at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences – EHESS), Marc Semo became a journalist for Liberation, serving as a correspondent in Rome and then as a senior reporter covering the wars in the Balkans and the Middle East, before becoming the paper’s Chief International Editor. He joined Le Monde in 2015 as a diplomatic correspondent; and in 2020, he became Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Opinion pages.
