Producer and Director Frédérique Bedos has been a journalist and radio presenter for more than 20 years, both in France and internationally. She has hosted many prestigious shows in prime time.
In 2010 she took a big leap into the unknown to create an NGO of information officially recognized by the UN in 2017, whose purpose is to inspire to act: Le Projet Imagine.
Her first source of inspiration was her adoptive parents from the north of France who welcomed her into their family together with some twenty "unadoptable" children from all over the world.
With the NGO Le Projet Imagine, Frédérique highlights the men and women who explore the unknown and make us realize that anything is possible: the famous "Humble Heroes".
In 2013, she wrote a book that is her testimonial, "La petite fille à la balançoire” (The Girl in the Swing, publ. by Editions Les Arènes, in pocket book format publ. by J’ai Lu) where she tells us about how her NGO was inspired from her personal story. And of course, her first Humble Heroes were her primary source of inspiration, namely her adoptive parents!
In 2020, she was finalist of the “Prize Alice Guy” for the best French film director of the year. In 2017, she received the rank of Knight of the National Order of Merit. As a member of the Scientific and Strategic Council of the World Forum “Normandy for Peace”, Frédérique Bedos has, since January 2018, been a patron of the French non-profit organization, Bleuet de France that supports victims of wars, widows, pupils of the Nation and victims of attacks. Doctor honoris causa of the Catholic University of Lille, Frédérique has also received the prestigious "Women who make a Difference" award, in Miami, from the very powerful women’s network International Women’s Forum (IWF).
